How to read your KDA
Across all roles, a sustained 2.0–3.0 is solid and 3.0+ is strong; supports and junglers run higher through assists. The diagnostic rule: when KDA and winrate disagree, believe the winrate — LP is paid in wins, and a pretty KDA in losing games usually means farming safe stats while the map slips.
Questions players ask
What is a good KDA in League?
A sustained 2.0–3.0 is solid and 3.0+ is strong. Supports and junglers run higher through assists (3–4+ normal for a good support); solo laners carry more deaths for their kills. Judge against your role.
How is KDA calculated?
Kills plus assists, divided by deaths: (K + A) / D. A 5/2/9 game is 7.0. Zero deaths displays as "perfect KDA". KD (no assists) is a shooter stat that undervalues playmakers.
Is KDA or winrate more important?
Winrate, and it is not close. KDA is a diagnostic: 4.0 KDA at 48% winrate usually describes safe-stat farming while games slip away. When the two disagree, the winrate is telling the truth.
